The Board of Directors (BOD)

The Board of Directors will be the responsible for the overall operations of Generation OM, Inc. The BOD will oversee the activities of all other Advisory Boards and Committees as well as the Executive Management Committee. Initially the BOD will be comprised of five Directors. As Generation OM grows additional BOD Directors will be appointed. The maximum number of Directors on the BOD will not exceed eleven. The BOD is the final authority on all management decisions and courses of action to be taken.

The Executive Management Committee (EMC)

The BOD will, as required, appoint an Executive Management Committee to undertake the daily operations of Generation OM and carry out the decisions of the BOD. There will be at least four officials appointed initially: the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. Their duties and responsibilities are noted in our bylaws. The BOD may change the scope of these duties and increase the number of officials from time to time. All EMC officials report to the President. The EMC President will keep the BOD appraised of all EMC meetings and provide management reports as requested by the BOD. The EMC President and Treasurer may be called to attend the BOD meetings.

The Fellowship Grant Advisory Board (FGAB)

The BOD will form The Fellowship Grant Advisory Board and appoint well qualified officials aware of our Mission Statement and have experience evaluating candidates for similar tasks. The FGAB will be responsible for reviewing the completed fellowship applications and advising the BOD as to which applications are worthy of receiving Generation OM fellowships.

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

The BOD will, as required, appoint qualified officials to The Youth Advisory Board to assist in the support activities of the American Hindu students and advise on other issues relevant to our mission. The YAB will also be the initial contact with students who become Youth Ambassadors.

The External Advisory Board (EAB)

The BOD will, as required, appoint qualified officials to The External Advisory Board so as to have a knowledgeable and experienced body whose advice and council can be sought as our non-profit organization grows. The EAB will assist in overall fund-raising and future growth, both within current and new Chapters. Once established, the EAB will convene as requested by the BOD (two meetings anticipated annually). The BOD may seek the opinion of individual members of the EAB as it sees fit.
